Opened in March 2003, the Asian Civilisations Museum at the restored Empress Place Building houses various galleries which showcase artefacts from the civilisations of China, Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Asia / Islamic. With a mix of recent acquisitions as well as artefacts inherited from the historic Southeast Asian ethnographic collection of the former Raffles Museum, the ACM Empress Place is an exciting gallery concept with multimedia and interactive components such as virtual hosts, in-gallery videos and hands-on Asian Civilisations Education zones.

Located opposite The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, a highlight at the ACM Empress Place is the Singapore River Interpretive River Gallery which narrates the history of the river and lives of the early immigrants.

The ACM Empress Place organises a number of special exhibitions throughout the year. Visit their website to find out the latest exhibition: http://www.nhb.gov.sg/ACM
