SINGAPORE, September 23, 2005: The Fullerton Hotel Singapore announced today that it has been chosen as one of the top Overseas Leisure Hotels in the latest Condé Nast Traveller (UK) Readers’ Travel Awards 2005. The hotel was placed in the Asia and the Indian Sub-continent category of this prestigious award. The results, which are published in the October issue of Condé Nast Traveller, are based on the eighth annual worldwide opinion survey of readers of the UK edition of this highly regarded travel publication.
Said Mr Louis Sailer, General Manager, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, “We are honoured to be recognized by the well-travelled and discerning readers of Condé Nast Traveller in the Readers’ Travel Awards 2005. In a short four and a half years, the hotel has achieved a level of international recognition that we can take pride in. We will uphold the confidence our guests have in us and extend our commitment to consistently deliver excellence and continuously improve on our services.”
Readers were asked in a questionnaire in an earlier issue of the magazine to name what they regarded as the best travel facilities and services, including airlines, airports, cities, countries, islands, tour operators, transport, spas and hotels. They also had to rate their choices, out of a maximum of 100 points, according to criteria such as service and value for money. An overall satisfaction percentage figure and subsequent rankings were created based on the average score of the criterion. Data collation by an independent market research company lends the Readers’ Travel Awards further credibility.
